Dr. Schleicher Is a model for what a healthcare provider should be in this country. After struggling with TMJ/OSA for years and bouncing around from physician to physician and everything under the sun seeking treatment and relief I called his office and was met with some of the most kind and helpful staff on the other line. My initial contact was at 4pm on a Friday and within 10 minutes I received a call from Dr. Schleicher‘s personal cell phone (find me a a physician that will do that). I had no idea how tired I was until I began using my apnea mouth piece. Approximately 2 years ago, I went to Dr. Schleicher to get my teeth cleaned. He suspected sleep apnea from looking at my airway in my throat. At the time, I had never even heard of sleep apnea, nor was I interested in knowing about it. However, I thoroughly trusted Dr. Schleicher. When he asked if I were willing to do a sleep study, I immediately agreed to do so. Was I ever shocked when I heard from the pulmonary sleep specialist that I had ACUTE sleep apnea! He indicated that I was most definitely a candidate for CPAP (continuous positive airway pressure) therapy. I am so grateful to Dr. Schleicher for his knowledge of sleep apnea, and I wholeheartedly recommend him as an expert in this field of study. I would also like everyone to know that as a 76-year-old female, I have more energy, do not get tired during the day, wake up less during the night (which is definitely a "plus"), and feel like I've gotten a new "lease on life!" I highly recommend Dr. Hans Schleicher for TMJ help. I was reluctant but am so pleased. I could only open my mouth 25mm and now I can open 44mm. In lay terms I could only put 2 fingers in my mouth opening and now I can do 3 easily. My mouth not opening made eating a challenge and painful on hard or tough things like bagels. This took only 9 months for me. I found this process worth it. I still need to wear the appliance every night and I will. Again, I had the best experience!!
